Harvest Tomato Garlic Toast

Harvest Tomato Garlic Toast | Flavor, NC


  • 1 Loaf French bread halved lengthwise and cut into 6 in pieces
1 head of roasted garlic. (directions below)
  • 2 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
1 ripe large tomato cut in half, seeded and juiced, (squeeze each half into a bowl thus removing most of seeds and juice)
  • Coarse sea salt, to taste
  • Cooking spray

Heat oven to 475˚. Put bread on a baking sheet, spray both sides with the cooking spray, and toast until golden brown, about 8 minutes. Rub garlic over cut surface of bread and drizzle with oil. Rub tomato onto toast and sprinkle with sea salt

For the Roasted Garlic


  • 2 heads garlic

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Slice off the top each head of garlic to expose some of the cloves inside. Place the heads on a piece of foil. Drizzle with olive oil and wrap in the foil. Roast until cloves are lightly browned and tender, about 30 minutes.
